ISLAND CAMPING | Anastasia Island, Florida
Taking advantage of a long weekend, we stole away with salt-of-the-earth friends to an old island to exchange stories with the ocean, build fires, and drink South African port by starlight.
We ‘commandeered’ a campsite closer to the water the first night, which we had to abruptly return the next morning. Mario valiantly tried to make amends, which only made our cross camping neighbors much, much angrier.
Oh darlings, let’s always be pirates! …with better coffee.
Sarah and I married boys who love to cook (alllllllll part of our world takeover plot).
This night included a 3-course supper complete with handmade spinach and cheese wontons under fairy lights and a full moon.
